5 Important Features Of A Good Foundation Company In Ocala

byAlma Abell

Foundation problems are more than just a cosmetic issue. The cracks in your interior walls will not only look unsightly but also reduce the value of your property. A good foundation company in Ocala can help you to restore the beautiful appearance of your home and at the same time maintain its value. Here are the five important characteristics of a foundation company you can trust.

1. Highly experienced contractors

The foundation company needs to have been in the business for long enough. You need to find out if they have experience particularly in foundation repairs. Choosing a construction company to work on your foundation may not be a suitable move. You need experts who specialize in foundations because they are likely to figure out where the problem is fast and have it repaired effectively.

2. A professional and organized business

You can tell that a foundation company will offer reliable services by visiting their business location. A proper foundation company will have a place where they admit clients and discuss issues that arise. You can also visit them onsite and get to see them in action. If you don’t like their level of professionalism and organization, it’s time to move on to the next contender.

3. Provides references

A company that is always willing to give potential clients references shows that it is proud of their work. Be very cautious if the company isn’t ready to offer you contacts of their previous clients. And also make sure they don’t handpick the references. Don’t be satisfied until you contact these references and see what their experiences were.

4. Offers clear terms of payment

Many homeowners have been frustrated when the time comes to pay for the services offered by a foundation company. First, read the contract before you sign. Understand the warranty agreement and don’t pay for any work before it begins. You also need to obtain a service agreement that covers beyond the warranty period. Remember that the foundation company may refuse to transfer the warranty if you sell the house so make sure you are clear about these details beforehand.

5. Uses different methods of repair

Always find out what methods of repair are used by the foundation company. Different companies utilize different methods when offering foundation repair services. The method chosen will determine the effectiveness of the service offered. Ram Jack Solid Foundations has been in the business for many years. We have professionals who can restore your foundation and maintain the value of your property. For more information, contact us.

Candidates make campaign stop at trade fairs ahead of 2008 Taiwan Presidential Election

Friday, November 9, 2007

Thursday, November 8, two trade shows, named MEDIPHAR Taipei at the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) and Taipei Audio Video Fair at the TWTC and The Grand Hotel, opened in Taipei, Taiwan. Some politicians and government officials chose these events as an opportunity to promote their parties and campaign-coalitions ahead of the 2008 Taiwan Presidential Elections.

From the incumbent Pan-Green Coalition, President of the Republic of China Chen Shui-bian, Premier of Republic of China Chang Chun-hsiung, and spokesman for the Executive Yuan Jung-tai Cho visited the two shows successively and were innundated by Taiwanese media. President Chen avoided answering questions on the hot topic of commodities prices, addressing only those about the medical industry development, overseen by Sheng-mao Hou, Minister of Health.

From the Pan-Blue Coalition, 2008 vice-presidential candidate, and former Premier, Vincent Siew participated the opening of the Taipei Audio Video Fair at The Grand Hotel. He criticized on the economy policy and remarked: “The ruling party [DPP] doesn’t have a good track record, and some industries weren’t be supported in timely manner so that they lost some opportunities. I sincerely hope the government can appropriately assist the audio and video industries in marketing good brands and products to the world.”

Also, current Democratic Progressive Party legislator Wang Shih-chien was invited to give a violin performance and sing a Taiwanese song. The events at the Taipei World Trade Center proved to be quite a platform for the candidates running in the 2008 Taiwan Presidential Elections.

Ford’s US auto sales spike, surpassing GM

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Ford Motor Company said on Tuesday that its sales in the United States rose 43% in February compared to the same period last year, as the automaker outsold rivals Toyota and General Motors.

The strength of our new products … are resonating with customers

Ford said that total sales improved to 142,285 units, compared to 141,951 units sold by GM. Additionally, Ford said that its share of the total US car market rose to 17%, up from 14% a year ago. The increase was better than analysts had predicted, and Ford’s stock rose to a five-year high in morning trading, before declining later in the day. Ford’s sales were significantly influenced by a 74% increase in fleet sales to businesses. Rental car agencies alone accounted for around 30,000 units sold. Sales to retail consumers increased only 28%.

The increases were led by sales of two sedans, the Fusion and Taurus, which rose 166.5 and 93.3% respectively, although sales of other models such as SUVs and pickup trucks also increased. Both models were significantly redesigned last year, and analysts said that improved quality from such cars were driving the increases.

Other companies also reported February sales today, nearly all reporting sales gains as well, although none as large as those of Ford. Toyota was the sole exception to the sales gains, as their sales declined 8.7%, as the company was faced with a global recall during the month that led to a temporary stoppage of production for some models.

“The strength of our new products … are resonating with customers,” said Ken Czubay, Ford’s vice president of sales and marketing. However, he believed that traditional Toyota customers were not buying rival autos, but rather awaiting the results from the recalls.

What Is The Importance Of Water Purification Systems?

Submitted by: Adriana Notton

Water is a vital resource that is used everyday for a variety of purposes. We use water for drinking, washing and bathing, washing our clothes, and so much more. Because water is such an indispensable resource, it is imperative that the water we use is clean and safe. Unfortunately, more water sources are becoming contaminated with toxic metals, bacteria, viruses, parasites and other substances that can harm people. According to the Environmental Working Group, there can be as many as 315 pollutants in tap water. As well, government guidelines for allowing specific levels of contaminants in water does not always mean the water is safe, particularly when consumed over a period of many years.

The safety of water is important for all of us; however there are specific groups of people who can be harmed more easily by poor quality water. For instance, the elderly, children, infants, and people who have an illness such as those with a compromised immune system, can be harmed by contaminated water. As well as drinking the water, pollutants in the water can be absorbed into the skin or inhaled such as when having a hot shower. The chemicals in the water can also cause skin irritations. Water purifiers make water safer to drink, air safer to breathe, and there will not be any chemicals absorbed in the skin.

Not only can pollutants be harmful to humans, but when in drinking water, it can have an unpleasant taste, odor, and appearance. When washing our clothes, contaminated water can makes the clothes even dirtier. Using a water purifying system can improve the quality, appearance, and health of tap water by removing harmful substances from the drinking water. When people choose to use a water purification system, they do so to protect themselves and their family from potentially harmful elements.

If you have a well or are concerned about the amount of chemicals being used to treat water such as chlorine which can increase the risk of such diseases as cancer, a water purification system may be the right health solution to protect you, your family, and even your pets. Water purifiers come in a variety of types and the prices will vary so you should be able to find the right system that meets your budget. However, sometimes cheaper purifiers are not always as effective, so you should always check to see what the manufacturer says about the efficiency of the water purifier and what substances the system will remove. Some water purifiers are better than others and some purifiers will remove only certain contaminants. It is always helpful to get a water purifier that removes every type of contaminant. When choosing a water purification system, health and safety should be the most important factors taken into consideration.

When searching for a water purifier, it important to learn about the quality and steps used by the water purifier so that you will know what contaminants will be removed from the water. For instance, activated carbon removes chlorine, chemicals, and disinfection byproducts. Ionizers remove lead and other metallic contaminants, selective filtration water purifiers remove bacteria etc. It is important to get the water purifier that offers the most health protection. No matter what purifier you use, it is important to drink clean uncontaminated water.

It Marketing: Benefits Focused Sales Letter

By Joshua Feinberg

No matter what niche you’re in, you should write a benefits-focused sales letter. In this article you’ll learn how this letter can improve your IT marketing.

Your high school English teacher probably told you that when you’re writing a business letter, keep it nice and short and sweet. Put that advice away. (Your high school English teacher probably never sold anything besides his or her daughter’s Girl Scout cookies!)

Long Sales Letters Should Be Used:

When you’re looking to build urgency

When you’re looking to stir up the pot

When you’re looking to get people to take action

When you’re looking to take them through the pain of what happens when they don’t do things the right way with data security

When you’re looking to take them through the joy and elation of making their staff so much more productive

When you’re looking at explaining to prospects the benefits of being able to grow their company 150% to 200% without adding much more in terms of staff

Theese are the kinds things that are best conveyed in long sales copy IT marketing letters. Don’t be afraid to do them!

Write to Your Prospect’s Points of Pain

If you don’t have a lot of expertise in writing sales letters, you may want to hire an advertising or marketing consultant or a freelance copywriter, who can do them for you. Whether you write it yourself, or outsource it, you must know your prospects’ hot buttons. And you must know the main points of pain for your particular niche.

Offer Something for Free

To generate demand with IT marketing, you may just need to send out a letter with your business card and offer some kind of bribe like a free one-hour needs assessment. Just make sure you have a deadline and limit the freebie to the first ___ local businesses that respond.

If you’re coming across as the IT expert for a niche industry, your IT marketing letters and calls should be a lot more welcomed. Your knowledge will be conveyed in the headline, and throughout the entire letter. You’re offering something that’s totally, completely relevant and most professionals will be open to hearing you.

Be sure you letter talks about work that you’ve done for other firms like theirs (think testimonials) and how you can help them. The general trends and problems of the industry will really hit home with the person that you’re targeting.

The Bottom Line on IT Marketing Sales Letters

Don’t forget, the goal with this IT marketing project should be to move your prospect onto the next logical step which is more often than not an in-depth billable IT audit. You’re moving them from free to fee… your proving ground project.

Google re-opens online word processor service

Monday, August 21, 2006

According to published reports and information posted to the Writely.com website and blog, the service has re-opened its Writely account beta program.

The Writely beta was launched in August 2005,and Google acquired the Writely technology on March 9, 2006. The core Writely service provides a free online collaborative word processor which is widely viewed as an alternative and potential competitor to more traditional locally-run word processing software.

The service has claimed that thousands of people had previously registered for the service exclusively driven by word-of-mouth and the Writely blog. Shortly after being acquired by Google, the company greatly restricted the service and maintained a future customer sign up waiting list.

Writely re-opened its beta service on August 17, 2006. According to the company’s blog, the timing of the re-launch was due to a positive product review on CNET combined with persistent email requests asking the service to re-open. Additionally, Writely is planning to make its service available as part of the Google Account sign-in sometime on the near future.

A number of industry sources have speculated on why Google chose to issue a press release on August 17, 2006 touting its involvement in a Star Trek convention and failed to release any information on the Writely beta re-open. While Google has proven reticent to release and publish product information in the past, the lack of any published information for the Writely beta re-open has generated a greater than usual number of web posts and articles addressing the subject.

China steps up anti-gambling campaign

Sunday, February 20, 2005

Beijing (??; pinyin: B?ij?ng) —Chinese President Hu Jintao is stepping up a government campaign to eradicate illegal gambling in China, detaining over 4,000 gamblers in an effort to clean up the public image of the Communist party.

Cadres and officials within the party have been caught using illicit funds, sometimes embezzled from local, state-run organizations, to gamble at casinos set up in border-towns within North Korea, in Macau, and in other popular gambling resorts outside of the direct control of the mainland government.

To assuage any fears that this latest campaign extends to ordinary working-class citizens, Deputy Public Security Minister Bu Jingfu has announced that ordinary citizens need not worry about being prosecuted for “friendly” games of mahjong. He did not specifically address whether mainland citizens should reconsider visiting the numerous mahjong gaming parlors which dot urban centers throughout the country.

“The whip that is used to beat wolves should not be used to beat sheep,” stated Bu Jingfu.

China allows a “social welfare” lottery, for which citizens can purchase tickets that help to fund social programs. However, this legal form of gambling is mostly favored by lower-income players who don’t have the opportunity to travel to the lavish gaming casinos frequented by the wealthier class of businessmen and party officials who can travel across the border on easily obtained one or two-day visas.

Despite relatively harsh penalties for those who are caught participating in illegal gambling operations, a number of provinces are well-known for hosting high-stakes gamblers in illegal, underground operations that are run on the mainland under the noses of local authorities. To combat these operations on a national level, the Public Security Ministry has sent 13 “inspection teams” to these provinces in an attempt to crack down on these operations.

One historian believes that China’s government, which in its various forms has tried to stop avid gamblers for thousands of years, will have no better luck with its current campaign, than it has in the past.

“It is really hard to get rid of gambling,” said Guo Shuanglin, a professor of history at People’s University in Beijing.

Guo explained, “There were strict laws against gambling in almost every dynasty in China. Take the Song Dynasty, for example, when gamblers were sentenced to death. In the Ming Dynasty, gamblers’ hands were chopped off. Even in the period of the Republic of China, they had a very strict anti-gambling law.”

As far away as Las Vegas, casino operators are seeing a shift in demographics for their most elite players, called “whales”, who are known to bet upwards of US$50,000 a hand. Since the 1980s, Las Vegas has seen a shift from Japanese businessmen to Chinese players, who now make up over 50% of the high-end clientele at some Las Vegas casinos.

Shen Mingming, a Beijing University expert on Chinese gambling, is skeptical that China’s government can sustain a long-term campaign against gambling.

“It means long hours for the police, and it cannot be sustained,” he said. “When the campaign is over, these organizations just quietly come back to life. Can you keep doing these campaigns every few months?”

However, this time China’s government has set up a special telephone number, to encourage citizens to turn in government officials who are embezzling government funds for illicit gambling runs.

China has recently conducted a series of high-profile arrests of corrupt officials who are caught gambling with public funds, two of whom used tens of millions of dollars to fund their gambling lifestyle.

The government has also made one special arrest to show that even high-level officials are not immune to prosecution due to their party position. Cai Haowen, who had been groomed by former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, was arrested this month on an overnight train in Jilin (??; pinyin: Jílín) province, while fleeing authorities for embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars and losing it all while gambling.

Finally, China is starting to crack down on the easy visa programs which have permitted so much traffic to gambling emporiums outside of mainland government control. The new visa program requires that records be kept of the identity of the visa holder. This new visa requirement has started to have a noticeable effect on some border-town casinos, leaving a number of properties with idle employees and few Chinese customers.
