Event Liability Insurance: An Overview On Its Wide Ranging Benefits

Event Liability Insurance: An Overview on its Wide-Ranging Benefits

by

Joseoh White

As humans we have some limitations; we may have been able to decipher the natural forces; but still cannot control them.

And therefore, event liability insurance is formulated for those who wear their careers on their sleeves! It is like a shield that protects the people involved in organization of an event against any serious financial whip and therefore, helps them to get up again on their feet to start afresh.

Planning an event is no ordinary feat Even if it is a quiet tea-party or a huge scale concert where thousands of dollars are put on stake; every event needs insurance to assure that in wake of anything going wrong; the people associated with it are does not get into serious troubles later on.

First of all, natural forces like rains or snow are highly unpredictable Though the weather department would forecast a sunny sky; you cannot say when it will suddenly start raining heavily the event can be spoiled by a heavy downpour or snow. And thus, it can become a liability in face of a failure.

And to overcome burden created with these liabilities; one need to have insurance coverage; as it provides enough financial assistance to recover from the loss as well as set up the whole thing again. Organizing an event is never a standalone task. It involves hundreds of other tasks and their smooth functioning ensures the success of an event.

Right from good food to excellent music; everything needs to in place to assure that the event goes as per the plans. Now in any such case where the event is either cancelled or postponed; the stakeholders like caterers, musicians, decorators, etc also suffer huge loses.

With comprehensive insurance coverage plans; all can be protected against any unfortunate accident. It covers everyone who is a part of the entire event management. It will lend a helping hand in the wake of incidence where the entire event is either cancelled or postponed.

Apart from this, when there is a huge crowd, it sometimes, becomes really difficult to manage the crowd and at times, it even results in severe bodily injuries. This may be end you up in some very grave financial and legal matters.

A legal notice, court case or compensation claim can make your life nothing sort of hell. It can further take you into the worst monetary setback. However, with the insurance it becomes little easy to cope up with such sudden financial setbacks.

The author here brings into focus the benefits of having event liability insurance offered by Clarion Associates Inc.  And why it has become so important to have one in the current competitive scenario.

U.S. Senate passes landmark health care reform bill

Thursday, December 24, 2009

The United States Senate has approved a hard-fought measure to overhaul the health care system. The vote will be followed by the difficult process of reconciling the Senate-passed bill with one approved by the House of Representatives, in order to get a final measure to President Barack Obama.

How do you feel about the bill’s passage? Do you think it will be effective or fail?

“The yeas are 60, the nays are 39. H.R. 3590 as amended, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is passed,” Vice President Joe Biden announced. Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky did not show up for the vote leading to the 39 nays. Mike Reynard, a spokesman for Bunning, said in an e-mail that “The senator had family commitments.”

The vice president presided over the Senate at the time of the vote in his role as President of the United States Senate.

As expected, Republicans voted against the bill while all Democrats and two Independents, Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Bernie Sanders of Vermont, voted for it.

At an estimated $87 billion, the measure would expand health insurance coverage to about 30 million more Americans currently without it, and create new private insurance marketplaces, or exchanges, to expand choice.

And, like the slightly more expensive measure passed by the House of Representatives, the Affordable Health Care for America Act, it would end a practice by private insurance companies of denying coverage to individuals with existing health problems.

Both the Senate and House measures would require nearly all Americans to purchase some form of insurance, while lower-income Americans would receive help from federal government subsidies.

This is a victory because we have affirmed that the ability to live a healthy life in our great country is a right and not merely a privilege for the select few.

In remarks before the vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Democrat from Nevada, said opponents had done everything they could to prevent the vote from taking place.

Speaking to reporters, Reid and others hailed the vote as a victory and a major step toward providing millions more Americans with access to health care. “This is a victory because we have affirmed that the ability to live a healthy life in our great country is a right and not merely a privilege for the select few,” Reid said.

Reid and others including Robert Byrd, the 92-year-old Democrat from West Virginia, paid tribute to Senator Edward Kennedy, who died this past August after spending decades of his career in the Senate pursuing health care reform.

When casting his vote Byrd said, “Mr. President, this is for my friend Ted Kennedy. Aye.”

Victoria Reggie Kennedy, the widow of Senator Kennedy, watched the proceedings from the Senate visitor’s gallery, as did Representative John Dingell, Democrat from Michigan, who has been a long time advocate of health care reform and who sponsored and introduced the House version of the health care reform bill.

In the final hours of debate on the Senate bill, Republicans asserted it would be ineffective and add sharply to the U.S. budget deficit.

Mr. President, this is for my friend Ted Kennedy. Aye.

Senator Jeff Sessions, Republican from Alabama said of the bill, “This legislation may have a great vision, it may have a great idea about trying to make the system work better. But it does not. These are huge costs [and] it’s not financially sound.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed to defeat the bill when the Senate reconvenes in January saying, “This fight is not over. This fight is long from over. My colleagues and I will work to stop this bill from becoming law.”

Senator Olympia Snowe, a moderate Republican from Maine who helped approved the Senate Finance Committee’s version of health care reform, the America’s Healthy Future Act, earlier in the year and who remarked she may not vote on the final bill, said, “I was extremely disappointed,” noting that when the Democrats reached their needed 60 votes to overcome a filibuster, “there was zero opportunity to amend the bill or modify it, and Democrats had no incentive to reach across the aisle.”

Ahead are difficult negotiations with the House of Representatives to craft a final bill President Obama would sign into law. These talks, which will formally get under way early in the new year, will take place amid anger among many liberal House Democrats the Senate bill failed to contain a government-run public health insurance option.

This fight is not over. This fight is long from over. My colleagues and I will work to stop this bill from becoming law.

Members of the House Progressive Caucus have vowed to fight to keep this public option in any final legislation that emerges, along with other provisions they say are needed to protect lower and middle-income Americans and hold insurance companies accountable.

In a statement, the Democratic chairmen of three key House committees said while there are clear differences between House and Senate bills, both will bring fundamental health care coverage to millions who are currently uninsured.

Obama administration officials have been quoted as saying they anticipate negotiations on a final bill would not be complete until after the President’s State of the Union Address in January, and could slip even later into the new year.

If passed, this will be the most important piece of social policy since the Social Security Act in the 1930s, and the most important reform of our health care system since Medicare passed in the 1960s.

President Obama issued a statement to the press in the State Dining Room in the White House saying that the vote is “legislation that brings us toward the end of a nearly century-long struggle to reform America’s health care system.”

He also pointed out the bill’s strengths, noting, “The reform bill that passed the Senate this morning, like the House bill, includes the toughest measures ever taken to hold the insurance industry accountable. Insurance companies will no longer be able to deny you coverage on the basis of a preexisting condition. They will no longer be able to drop your coverage when you get sick. No longer will you have to pay unlimited amounts out of your own pocket for the treatments you need. And you’ll be able to appeal unfair decisions by insurance companies to an independent party.”

He also noted how historic the bill is, saying, “If passed, this will be the most important piece of social policy since the Social Security Act in the 1930s, and the most important reform of our health care system since Medicare passed in the 1960s.”

Obama noted the potential social impact, saying, “It’s the impact reform will have on Americans who no longer have to go without a checkup or prescriptions that they need because they can’t afford them; on families who no longer have to worry that a single illness will send them into financial ruin; and on businesses that will no longer face exorbitant insurance rates that hamper their competitiveness.”

Obama afterwards made phone calls to various Senators and other people, including Victoria Kennedy and David Turner of Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Turner had his health insurance rescinded in January of last year, after his insurance company went back into his record and alleged that he failed to disclose his full medical record at the time he applied for coverage. Turner was First Lady Michelle Obama’s guest during her husband’s speech to a joint session of Congress on health care reform back in September.

UK PM’s speechwriter awaits sentence

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

An English lawyer has pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice. He faked a legal judgment and sent it to a father who was pleading in Taunton family court to be able to remain involved in his child’s upbringing. The lawyer, London barrister Bruce Hyman, now awaits his sentence. The judge indicated that he could receive a prison sentence. Bruce Hyman is well-known in media circles, having produced The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy on BBC Radio. He also produced a series with Clive Anderson, at Above the Title Productions, called Unreliable Evidence.

The father, a former City financier, had attended a series of court hearings in order to make suitable arrangements to see his child following an acrimonious divorce. Shortly before one of these hearings he received an email, ostensibly from a self-help group to which he belonged, which had attached a Court of Appeal case that appeared favourable to an application he had made for the judge to stand down from the case. The father, who was representing himself, duly showed the case to the judge. At this point, Bruce Hyman, the lawyer representing the former wife, claimed to the judge that the case was a forgery, which indeed it turned out to be.

After confirming that the self-help group had not sent him the email, the father then embarked on some detective work his own. The fraudulent email was traced via its header to a dial-up internet connection and a phone number belonging to a shop in London. The shop was able to recover CCTV footage which showed a man sending the email from an Apple laptop. The man turned out to be Bruce Hyman.

Sentencing of Hyman is due in Bristol Crown Court on the 19th of September.

Find Out How You Can Get Implants Through Dentistry In Tulsa

byAlma Abell

Missing teeth can cause so many issues in your life and with your health. Not only is there the cosmetic issue, which may make you feel ashamed about your smile, but there are also the problems with being able to chew your food, eat certain foods and even being able to speak properly and make certain sounds in your speech. When you are missing teeth, it can cause you to feel extremely self-conscious about your smile. This is especially true if the missing teeth are noticeable and not in the back of your mouth. If you are missing teeth, you can have them replaced through a dental implant procedure carried out by Dentistry in Tulsa offices.

Many people are not aware of how dental implants work, so they do not ask their dentists to have this procedure done. The process for getting implants is a surgical procedure, but it is not a complicated one and can sometimes be carried out using local anesthesia. In the cases that require several implants, you may be required to have general anesthesia to ensure that you do not feel any pain and discomfort during the procedure.

Through the first part of the process, a metal anchor is surgically placed into the gums. The anchor is held in place by stitches until it heals. It normally takes around three weeks for you to heal completely so that your implants can be put into place. It is important that your gums have healed and that the stitches have dissolved so that your implants will hold in place without causing damage to your gums.

Once your Dentistry in Tulsa office has your implants in place, the dentist will carefully shape each tooth and make sure that they blend in well with your surrounding teeth. The dentist will also check to make sure that your bite is not compromised by the new implants. If you are interested in receiving dental implants or need other dental procedures, contact the office of Carletti Dentistry and Associates today. They will be glad to consult with you and give you information on the services that they offer.

Cars big winner as 34th Annual Annie Awards handed out

Monday, February 12, 2007

Cars drove home the big prize last night, from the 34th Annual Annie Awards. The animation industry’s highest honor, ASIFA-Hollywood’s Annies recognise contributions to animation, writing, directing, storyboarding, voice acting, composing, and much more.

As mentioned, Pixar took home the big prize last night, after facing stiff competition from four other Happy Feet, Monster House, Open Season, and Over the Hedge.

But the biggest winner of the night didn’t get a “Best Animated Feature” nod at all. Flushed Away won five feature animation categories including Animated Effects (Scott Cegielski), Character Animation (Gabe Hordos), Production Design (Pierre-Olivier Vincent), Voice Acting (Sir Ian McKellan as Toad), Writing (Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais, Chris Lloyd, Joe Keenan, and Will Davies).

Over The Hedge won awards for Directing (Tim Johnson and Karey Kirkpatrick), Storyboarding (Gary Graham), and Character Design (Nicolas Marlet).

Of little surprise, Randy Newman won an Annie for Cars in the “Music in an Animated Feature Production” category. Newman has won many Oscars for his movie music, and has a nomination this year for the song “Our Town”. Newman didn’t attend the Annies, instead picking up a Grammy for “Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media”.

DisneyToon Studios’ Bambi II won “Best Home Entertainment Production”, while “Best Animated Short Subject” went to Blue Sky Studios’ No Time For Nuts, which is based on Ice Age.

“Best Animated Video Game” went to Flushed Away The Game, while a United Airlines ad named “Dragon” won a “Best Animated Television Commercial” Annie for DUCK Studios.

Witnesses saw truck “rev up and race” before recent Texas oil refinery blast

Friday, April 1, 2005File:Map of USA highlighting Texas.png

Witnesses say a truck was idling near the scene of an explosion at a Texas refinery which killed 15 and injured over 100 others on March 23, according to U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Manager Bill Hoyle.

“Witnesses saw vapor in the area of the truck and observed the engine begin to rev up and race,” Hoyle’s statement said. “This behavior by a diesel engine indicates the presence of a flammable atmosphere entering the air intake. A driver reported trying to shut off the engine but was unable to do so.” Hoyle’s statement continued, “There are multiple possible sources of ignition in an operating refinery unit and we have made no determination about the ignition source at this time.”

The investigation has been delayed by BP and Occupational Safety & Health Administration officials, who are trying to preserve evidence at the site for their investigation. They are also concerned about further injuries from hazards left over from the explosion, such as falling debris and unstable structures. The Environment Protection Agency also detected benzene in the atmosphere over the plant, which was treated with a layer of foam.

BP has retained control of the plant since the March 23 accident. Police arrived quickly the day of the explosion, but left after the initial emergency was over.

“Our officers could respond over there, but they don’t have a clue,” Texas City police Sgt. Curtis Pope told the Houston Chronicle. “The fact is they have chemical and equipment hazards. We don’t know the chemicals.”

Talking With Teenagers About Acne}

Talking with Teenagers about Acne

by

Kurtis Rivers

Acne is painful – on the inside. We live in a culture where not just youth, but beauty is worshipped. It’s everywhere and you can’t escape it. The results of having acne can be emotionally devastating for teenagers as they are extremely conscious of their appearance and their image. Even though they feel they suffer alone, they don’t. The fact is that approximately 85% of the population in the United States has at some point suffered with acne, and approximately 17 million people have acne. You are far from alone.

Acne in teenagers is caused by the action of hormones on the skin’s oil glands. During puberty both boys and girls have an increase in the hormones called androgens. These hormones cause sebaceous glands under the surface of the skin to enlarge. The sebaceous glands in response produce excess oil. This excess oil mixes with bacteria and dead skin on the skin’s surface and blocks pores. Inside these pores the bacteria multiple and cause inflammation.Acne is usually genetic, so you may not be able to avoid it. However there are things you should know, an things you can do to help you deal with it.There are many myths surrounding acne. The most well known one is that chocolate and greasy foods cause breakouts. Over the years dermatologists have discovered there is no evidence of this claim. However, if you find you do break out more after eating certain foods, avoid them. Although it may not have an affect on your acne, eating a healthy diet complete with fruits and vegetables is a good idea. Another myth is that acne is caused by poor hygiene. This is not true at all. As mentioned above acne is caused by overproduction of oil, period. Myth three advises you to scrub your face several times a day. Actually, over washing your skin can cause it to become more inflamed. Also, if you use drying products to excess on you skin your skin may rebel by producing more oil.Whatever one of the literally hundreds of treatments you decide to choose remember that acne takes time to disappear. Overnight or miraculous results don’t happen. It takes six to eight weeks to see results from treatment. Once acne has cleared continued treatment will needed to prevent it from recurring. If an acne treatment takes more than six to eight weeks to show a significant difference it probably won’t work. Try something else. You really should see the advice of a dermatologist. With the number of products on the market, how do you choose? What might clear one person’s acne might not clear anothers. Your skin type and lesion types must be taken into consideration. Before you spend a bundle of money on an unknown treatment see a dermatologist. He or she can plan an individualized program based on your skin’s needs.

Making The Sale Of Your Life

By Pat Stevens

Doing things right with your own online marketing of entertainment networking

Be your own business, be for real, and show the world you know how to sell online better than anything else. Building a marketing network that you control uses the same skills you have always used to sell pretty much anything. But online, it is easier because you have the time to develop your sales pitch exactly the way you want it.

Todays world of sales is very different than from 10 or even five years ago. More and more people are using the internet every single day. The internet is the most efficient way to distribute human knowledge in effect, to the entire globe at present. It will probably continue that way for at least 30 years.

The element to consider now however, is the human one. Most people take their technology for granted, or they hold it so dear to themselves that it is more important than the family house pet. Values have changed so much since the millennia began that people are becoming more and more cybernetic by the day without even realizing it.

That is something significant, because with the computer becoming a center for work, study and social life, the Acropolis from ancient Greece has now spread out across the world and can reach into the schools of thought that permeate the atmosphere of every cyber caf and home office.

Home-business networking online with your very own sales program and structure need not take thousands of dollars in personal investments, or long years of college study at Yale or Harvard. Although it does help, its not necessary. What is necessary however, is merely the human factor of a world that seems intent on mechanistic reality.

Sales is about the human element. Selling online means selling to human beings who find themselves attached to a mechanical world through a cybernetic interface. And that means reminding people that they are human. Entertainment is about humans, about a human reality, and one that demands a certain amount of fun and distraction.

Networking online means being real, being honest about what you sell and really showing that you can sell. The skills that we use to make a good sale are still the same human skills as with traditional face to face sales, but now we have an advantage, the electron.

Time to think, time to focus and the time to build a presentation online, of course a little persistence on your part as a sales professional is a world of difference, the electron has forever revolutionized first impressions.

We as a human race are ready to come together in one place the internet, and civilizations exist to improve the quality of life. That is the job of the entertainment industry, to improve how we live our lives to the fullest possible potential. Selling catharsis is important to our new cybernetic world order.

Selling cathartic experiences with online business networking in the entertainment industry is selling more than a commodity, its selling a basic human need, and its selling an experience.

Be for real

Long ago in the days of traditional door to door networking sales professionals, selling a product was like having an excellent first impression, creating rapport, getting to know the clients needs, having a conversation, making friends and then laying the sales pitch down. That hasnt changed with online sales because people are still people.

Building a network has always had the same rules. So what has changed? The fact that instead of going face to face with people at the door step we are now approaching them for the first time through a media of which many are not yet familiar. The internet interacts with images, sounds and movement, just like in the real world, but the movement, the sense of smell and taste are now virtual sensations.

Its just like having a digital outdoor sign inside a virtual freeway of flowing electrons or a digitally moving poster board inside a coffee shop. By just clicking on them you go to the appropriate electronic address. Online marketing business affiliates that work for the entertainment industry have to build advertisements that really make clients want to visit the entertainment site.

With a little honesty, knowing your product and showing that you know how to be creative in the marketing industry, you will be for real, and have your own company with your own hours. Working for yourself in the world of cyberspace is the only way to be truly successful today.

With your own business, one that you believe in, one that sells a product you believe in and one that provides the proper motivating inspiration to succeed, there is only space for real and honest business professionals.

The Skills to Sell

The skill to sell is one that is very subjective and not everyone yet understands how a person can actually learn to sell something. It is possible to learn to sell something just as its possible to learn to read and write or any other ability.

Selling online is an ability that can be learned just as easily as out in the face to face world. Especially for those who are already professionals in the area. Some people are just naturally interested in one thing while other people in another. No one was simply born knowing how to read, yet here, you and countless others are, reading this text.

It takes years before children can read, so, why would things be different for anyone trying anything else for the very first time? It is no different, but sales on the internet is exactly like sales in the real world, and if you know how to do that, you know how it works online.

Basically the point is to ask yourself, are you good at selling and do you want to be even better? Of course you want to be even better than you already are and the internet offers that chance.

It will take a frame of mind that cannot in any way be compromised with things that are not equal to or above your own personal goals. It will take the kind of willpower that you only hear about in tales of great deeds. But most of all, it will take the kind of enduring self-discipline that it takes to conquer your own self.

Time to Think

The greatest advantage to selling online is the time one consecrates to the eternal flow of human creative thought. You have time to research your target public, create enduring and valiant presentations that have never been seen before anywhere and most of all, time to be persistent.

The target public is not just going to pop out of the wood work, they are there though. People are beginning to come together in a new globalized civilization and we are at the very head of those interested in commerce, trade and foremost entertainment.

We sell what people want. Finding them is as easy as putting up signs on the freeway of flowing electrons and in virtual reality cafs that they might chance onto while surfing the silver thread of silicon webs.

Mostly, chat rooms and e-mails do most of the work for affiliate marketers, even more so for those building a home network, but nothing can compare to the power of having a static site on your very own server and a subdirectory for blogging.

Sales is endowed with the coherent patterns of human speech and has been responsible for the development of new linguistic patterns unlike anything else in our history. Creative people have creative ways of dealing with markets, and on the internet nothing could have more potential than network builders who enjoy a good conversation.

Time to think is really that, time to talk over ideas and concepts that directly may not even appear to be related to entertainment, but related to rapport, empathy and feeling. Blogging is a way of creating interesting conversations in forum fashion, that people may discuss their own passions.

Passion is the very blood of a sale. When we see a passionate person talking about their passion, we too become passionate. But it must be for real. Nobody wants to buy a vacuum cleaner from a person who sees the vacuum cleaner as a domestic tool for the unhappy domestic servants of the world.

People want to buy vacuum cleaners from people who see the vacuum cleaner as a revolution to our way of life on earth! But really see! Not acting like they see. Really seeing!

Of course most people probably havent received a vacuum cleaner sales person at their door in over a decade, the metaphor is perfect. If you truly believe in what you sell, if you truly know that it is fulfilling of some exceptional role in society, you will sell it well.

This is why blogging sells so well for online networkers. Passion sells, and it is found by the search engines more often than sites that dont evolve. Chat rooms and blogs do more work for online marketing than static sites do, and that is purely human.

Only a professional sales person can deal with it. Learn the area, research and you will soon find that your marketing company can be for real, even in an ocean of electrons.
